We're here to try and keep FantasyRole.org moving along in shape and form, in technical terms and day-to-day running. All our site members are recognised as having contributed at some stage and added their thoughts on particular developments here and there. That said, here's what we, behind the scenes, get up to:

If you are interested in joining our team and have some ideas, please get in touch!

Technical Staff Site Alias PM E-Mail
Moderator Jack Morris
A co-founder of the site, Jack is seen as a visionary. His ideas have paved the way for many of the tools here. The man is also an avid poet and artist. He's also a GM of some acclaim—very few players can ever say his ULT gaming sessions come off as being contrived, which is a testament to the fluidity and immersive qualities of his gaming.

Moderator The Silverlord
Co-founder of the site, Silverlord has a hand in all: coding, CSS, graphic design, JavaScript. He looks after the web and domain hosting and makes things happen (puts them live).

Moderator Josh Luplow
Josh has a bit of background in system/application testing which has come in really handy with the tools here. He's also implemented a few applications and is currently looking into the possibility of an IM client for FR.

Ideas, Blood, Sweat and Toil
Moderator Jupy
Jupy has attended three Comic-Con events and represented/promoted FantasyRole, even producing flyer and merchandise at her own expense. She is a very talented artist (many of her personal drawings/paintings are around the site), and has a passion to improve the site—her ideas we hope to implement in the near future. Jupy also hopes to continue GM'ing with her group, Shevard Slane.

Moderator Dart
Dart has been loyal to FantasyRole since 2006, a gamer who quite simply epitomises everything the site stands for. He has contributed consistently to the site and takes an interest in things behind the scenes with a view to looking to improve the site.

Group founder of The Four Elements, Dart is always willing to encourage and help newcomers, is resourceful, and a creative individual.

Moderator Parthenos
At the time of writing, Parthenos has only been with FR for a year, but already she is highest rated XP member and our most prolific forum poster. Her writing is intelligent, her characters thoughtful and varied.

Her current level status reveals "Accomplished Teacher". I think this to be true given her experience in role-playing and her mature nature to gaming, and we hope she can help us and our members from behind the scenes.

Brief History

fantasyrole.org grew up essentially within Yahoo Chat! role-playing gaming of the early-2000 era (Ayenee/Eden/Tenaria et. al.)

It existed initially as a small site "Ayenee Profiles" in 1999 which later became "E&A Profiles" in 2000. The site and idea came into being to provide a community and place for players to post their character profiles.

In 2003, fantasyrole.org was the next step to be more ambitious in the fantasy genre and create a community devoted to role-play in general. Many new features were added, including massive changes to the group sections, and great attempts to increase the level of communication between gamers, to open doors to new dimensions of interaction and play.

At fantasyrole.org we believe in you, in the medium of text-based role-playing and in the limitless possibilities and ways it can all take place. We also feel it's patronising to tell you how to play. Where you are when playing, what you should play, or anything else of such an order would limit your own imagination. We promise never to get involved with your means or method of role-playing (unless it's to help!).

Our groups are where you will find realms, clans, worlds, kingdoms, taverns etc. as crafted and defined by members themselves. These groups are like sovereign nations where the people behind create their own laws and rules of conduct.
