Becoming a Member
Many features at FantasyRole require you to become a member. This is purely to collate and organise everything you as an individual contribute to FantasyRole, and to make things manageable for you.
To join us at FantasyRole is straightforward and easy. To do so, click here and complete the form.
When joining, you need to provide your member name and a password. Note the member name can be anything, and need not be your character name. Most players use their real name or their player handle.
We do store your details in a database, but we will never pass your details on to another company. The contact details you may later provide in your member profile are only to assist other players in contacting you.
Logging In
If you join up, you'll be logged in automatically, and a cookie will be stored on your computer. Please ensure you have cookies enabled for FantasyRole, and we'll remember who you are as you browse the site every time you visit.
To delete the cookie and logout, click the logout button. Member details are encrypted, but logging out is still wise, especially if you are on a shared-PC.
To log-in again, you'll need to enter your member name and password on the contents bar, and click the "Login!" button.
Site Sections
The main site sections run across the top of each page, beneath the header banner. These are:
Home
The homepage of FantasyRole provides news and event information, recent forum posts, poll, and current chatroom status.
Gaming
The gaming section provides information and access to player-characters (PCs), journal entries, store items, and general gaming activity.
Characters
The section lists every character profile on the site for you to browse through!
Groups
The section lists every group on the site for you to browse through, and shows the ones which are most active!
Tools
Tools (and Learning) is the place for beginners and experts alike. It features member articles on role-playing, a dice roller and language translator. We appreciate members who write and compose articles to enlighten gamers.
Pastime
Pastime hosts member writings, poems and artwork, and provides access to tournament battles and Dungeon Run slots!
Members
The member directory is available in this section, a full listing of members and their contact details. You can search by alphabetic character.

XP Level-Up Bar
The XP Level-Up bar is used to record your status as a contributor and reward you as a member when new levels are reached. You gain experience points when you contribute material and to discussion.
For non-members, it is possible to acquire XP which is then transferred to the member profile when you become a member.

Listed here is your timezone setting. Click the Options link to access the full range of member options.

3. Level and Rank
A level rank created by the site moderators just for some entertainment value.
4. Next Level
The level bar is a graphical representation of your progress on the current level. As the guage fills, you get nearer and nearer to the Next Level. When the guage is complete, you move to the next level and the bar empties to the start of that level.
5. XP (Experience Points) / Next Level XP
Your site experience points, and the amount required to ascend to the next level.

My Favourites
As you browse to pages on
FantasyRole, you can click "Add Page to Fave" (1) to add the current page to your favourites list.
This makes it easier for you to quickly access the page if you visit the site again.
To delete from your favourites list, you need to click the red 'X' button (2) to the
left of the relevant page.
My Member Options
This provides a variety of immediate options for members to manage their member profile, characters, role-playing groups, compositions and forums. The full list of available options are under "My Member Options." More details are provided for those options in this help.
Home Content
